Synopsis..A nearly stationary front will remain just north of the local waters today as scattered showers and lightning storms increase in coverage this afternoon and evening. A few storms could be strong to severe, especially south of the cape through tonight. The aforementioned front is forecast to move south of the area on Monday with rain chances continuing, especially offshore. High pressure begins to build over the waters mid to late week.
